Visiting Professor: Alejandro Merino

Professor Alejandro Merino, from University of Burgos, will be visiting us for the next month. He will be working on the use of co-simulation in the context of development of Digital Twins.

Farewell José Luís

We say goodbye to José Luís Pitarch (UPV) after one year as a visiting researcher. He was working on the setup of the sterilization pilot plant (IIM-CSIC) and on the development and implementation of components for industrial Digital Twins in the context of a-CIDiT project (PID2021-123654OB-C32, funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033/FEDER). We wish you all the best.

New member of our group

Dr. Silvia Muñoz Santiago has joined our group in the context of “Programa Ciencias Marinas: Ferramentas para a predición da calidade en productos da acuicultura“. She will be in charge of the experiments carried out to measure quality indicators in fish products and the development of mathematical models that describe quality evolution during storage and transport

Paper out

New paper is out: “Integrating Continuous and Batch Processes with Shared Resources in Closed-Loop Scheduling: A Case Study on Tuna Cannery”, published in the journal Industrial & Enginnering Chemistry Research (https://doi.org/10.1021/acs.iecr.3c00754), was the result of a collaboration with our colleagues of University of Valladolid

In the framework of project Pescando4.0, Carlos Vilas participated in the workshop about the “Potential of digitalization and blockchain to improve trazability, quality and sustainability in the fishing sector”, held at CETMAR (Vigo)
